In a bizarre incident at a Bass Pro Shop in a small town in Montana, a mysterious man has left the store’s staff and customers scratching their heads. According to witnesses, the man appeared out of nowhere, ordered an elk sandwich, asked an unusual question, stole a pair of sunglasses, and then disappeared as suddenly as he had arrived.
The man, who appeared to be in his mid-60s and was dressed in a leather jacket and jeans, walked into the Bass Pro Shop at around noon on Monday. He made his way to the store’s restaurant and ordered an elk sandwich, which he ate quickly while looking around the room.
As he finished his sandwich, the man asked the restaurant staff an unusual question: “Do you sell fishing rods for catching mermaids?” The staff was taken aback by the question and didn’t know how to respond, but before they could ask any follow-up questions, the man got up from his table and walked out of the restaurant.
As he left, the man stopped at a nearby display of sunglasses and tried on several pairs before grabbing one and walking out of the store without paying. Store security tried to stop him, but the man was too quick and disappeared into the parking lot.
The incident has left the staff and customers of the Bass Pro Shop mystified, with many wondering who the man was and what he wanted. The police have been notified, and they are currently investigating the incident.
“We’ve never had anything like this happen before,” said store manager Karen Smith. “We’re just glad that nobody was hurt, and we hope that the police can catch this guy and find out what his deal is.”
The police are asking anyone with information about the incident or the man’s whereabouts to come forward. In the meantime, the Bass Pro Shop is reviewing its security procedures to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.
